Purse Evolution-Diary of a Purse Pattern "What's in a Name?"

(The 10th installment in the "Purse Evolution" series)

Time to name the bag... sometimes it's so easy, and sometimes it's a struggle. My Dad named my last pattern, (The Encore). He proposed the name & I loved it from the start. Done deal. Easy as pie. But other times I have struggled with a good name.

Oddly enough, many times a good name will come to me in the night. So often in fact, that I keep a pad of paper and a pen at my nightstand to write it down. (I forget good names just like I forget good dreams, although i don't generally write those down!)

So I've been ruminating on a name for a few weeks now. A few folks have wrote in with suggestions, but nothing has felt "right". Then I heard a fun word on a music channel that kinda stuck in my head... Lollapalooza... I thought it was a made up word. It felt good rolling off the tongue... Lollapalooza. When I looked it up in an online dictionary, I found that it's an American slang word meaning,

A fanciful, extraordinary formation or event

Hmmm... this has possibilities. Even though its an unusual word, it looks like its easy to figure how to say it from the spelling. It's growing on me, so I'm trying it on for size for a bit, and I gotta say, I'm feeling better about it every day, so we'll see........
