A Room With a View

I've been suspicious for some time now. There have been some little tell-tale signs. Paw prints on the TV screen. A few stray cat hairs here & there, where there normally are none. "What's so unusual about that?", you might ask. With two cats in the house, what do you expect? And you'd be right, except the TV in question isn't sitting on the floor, or a TV stand, or even a table top. It's in a specially designed cubby hole OVER the mantel of our fireplace.

Don't ask me how he got up there. There's no launching pad for him to get a running start from. And get this, not a thing is out of place on the mantel either. But when I got that ole familiar feeling that someone was watching me Saturday morning, just LOOK where I found him!

I don't know why I'm ever surprised at the things this little cat does. He is easily the most curious, athletic and agile cat I've ever lived with. I knew no one in my naturally skeptical family would believe me when I told them about his new hangout, so I snapped this picture. Now I have proof. I guess he just likes the view from this vantage point... or maybe he just like looking down on me!
