Question of the Week #7

I can't believe we've been at this for seven weeks now!
It's Sunday, so are you ready for another question?  Here goes...

Question of the Week #7-
What gives you hope?

I'm generally not considered to be a pessimistic person. If you ask my husband, (aka 'Dr. Doom'), he would tell you he thinks that too often, I see the world thru rose-colored glasses. Compared to him, I guess that's true. Maybe it's not. But particularly of late, I can't think of anything that feels more hopeful to me, than looking into the eyes of this child, my grandson.

For him, all things are still possible.
The only thing as bright as his eyes, is his potential.
Which right now, is limitless.
He could be a healer,
an orator,
a soldier,
a great leader.

He is blameless in sweet repose.
His dreams are not interrupted by fear,
doubt,
shame, or worry.

When I look at this beautiful little face,
I see the hope of boundless opportunity.
This could be the face of a future President,
an All-American athlete,
a selfless humanitarian,
a dedicated public servant,
and maybe even a bit of a class clown!

And I am so looking forward to seeing how his story unfolds!

How about you? What gives you hope?

You can leave your reply here, or if you prefer, you can leave a reply on my Facebook Fan page. And for those of you who receive this post by email, It would be absolutely incredible if you went to www.studiokatdesigns.blogspot.com, and left your comment at the bottom of the post, rather than emailing comments directly to me. (That way EVERYONE can enjoy reading your response, not just me!)

  1. My son. He's turned out to be such a good man. He's 21, a computer science major at NJIT, a responsible intern at a start-up company that needs him, and a pretty nice guy. He's not enough fun to attract women his own age-- yet.
