Spectacular Quilts!

For me, the most inspiring place at the Market is the exhibition quilt exhibits. I never get to spend as much time as I would like looking at these beauties, but this Spring, my booth was a mere 20 feet from the exhibit, so I was able to drink in the ambiance frequently and at length!
These frogs were FABULOUS!

I dig frogs! (in addition to cats, of course), and these guys look real enough to chirp!
Aren't these dogs fantastic?

This realness of these dogs was accomplished with very intricate piecing and subtle changes in fabric color. It needs to be seen up close to truly appreciate the amount of work that must have been involved.
This feels like a cold spring morning.

If you look at this piece long enough, you can almost feel the chill of a cold April morning. It was just beautiful.

This quilt was captivating!

This entryway was simply spectacular. I like to think that this place really exists someplace, but it might just have been conjured up by the artist. I wonder which?

I think I've seen this place in Austria!!!

The details on this quilt looked so real, that it almost looked like a photograph!

This tower reminds me of a place in Nepal that my daughter visited.

And finally, the unique effects on this piece were accomplished completely with thread. This photo really doesn't do it justice because it really has a fantastic overall look.

So there you have it my friends. These were my favorite quilt entries. Tomorrow i will share with you my favorite clothing pieces! Till then.........
