(For the next few days we'll be sharing pictures & highlights from the International Quilt Market)
It's like magic.
It's like magic.
And it never ceases to amaze me.
We walk into a convention center filled with an endless array
of white-curtained cubicles filled with pallets of supplies....
and less than 48 hours later,
It looks like THIS!
I never get as much time to walk the floor as I would like,
but here's just a few of my favorite sights, products and moments
from this Fall's Market.
I always make sure I get to see the Michael Miller Fabrics booth.
It's completely different at each market and it's always
OVER THE TOP!
(and yes- that's a full-sized car in their booth!)
I love these little seasonally-inspired pin cushions which I found
at La Todera. Aren't they adorable?
Here's Valori Well's booth highlighting her new line of fabrics, called Karavan.
The elephant was adorable and I would have loved to have brought him home to my grandson!
And Jane Sassaman is one of my favorite fabric designers. I love her use of color
and her prints are whimsical and fun. This years collection is totally fab and I might
just have to work a few of her new selections into my next design! And isn't this booth just yummy?
And here I am with a personal rolemodel & hero for me, the one & only, Nancy Zieman. (I had no idea she was so TALL!) I just happened upon Nancy getting ready to do a little demo in the Clover Notions booth, so I ducked right in there like a little groupie, after all, I've been waited a LONG time for that picture, and let me tell you that Nancy is the real deal!
Just as nice as she can be & I REALLY enjoyed meeting her!

Here's an action shot of me in my booth. As you can see, we were fortunate indeed to have an EXCELLENT booth location out on the main aisle, not far at all from the main entrance.
The hubster took this picture from what he described as a discreet vantage point
where he "maintained security surveillance" for me...

working hard. :)
working hard. :)
So stay tuned folks, we're going to use the next few days to do a little extra posting about the beautiful quilts, unique folks, and other favorite stuff we saw at the 2011 Fall Quilt Market.

Thank you so much for sharing this experience. It looks so exciting! I think all the colors and designs on the fabrics are so pretty. I would wrestle you for the elephant! Just kidding! Nancy Zieman, how cool!
