| Seriously? |
BUT- for some reason, this year was different. Hardly anybody was wearing Halloween costumes.
Oh sure, I ran across a few brave souls in costume, like Superman and his zombie bride on the right, but NOTHING like last year.
But here's the deal....
This year,
for some reason,
seams to have been....
The Year of the HAT!
There were
matching SCARY hats!....
There were fancy schmancy Sunday-go-to-meeting hats...
and "hat - to- toe"
matching ensembles!
There were off-beat funky hats...
and hats that were
"veiled" in mystery!
and even though some hats (and looks) defied explanation!
It added a fun, upbeat and festive touch to this years' Quilt Market.
And in keeping with this year's theme of unusual headgear...
Check out these WILD earrings!
(She's laughing because I had just told here there was a tick on her earlobe! DUH!)
And of course some folks decided to nix the whole "hat trick" thing and instead, accessorize their way to a fabulous look!
(I just LOVE it when I find folks arrying bags made from my patterns! Doesn't her Quattro look fabulous?)
Seriously though, this year's Fall Market seemed to have a much more upbeat feel that the last few Markets have had.
The customers seemed happy and ready to buy...
Most of the vendors seemed happy (except maybe the fabric houses),
But of course no one was having a better time than the "Hat People"!
