Market Runway

One of my favorite things to do at market is to check out the display quilts and various other contest winners and the Fall Market has the biggest display of ANY Market. But here's the deal- because I have to be in my booth during Market hours, that only leaves an hour before the opening bell everyday to browse amongst the deliciousness, but believe me when I say that I make the most of my time.

So for the next few days I'd like to share with you some of my favorites. Today, I'd like to show you my three favorite wearable art items. There were LOTS of clothing items submitted, and while they were all expertly sewn and adorned and many were simply incredible works of art, these three stood out as being truly "wearable" art pieces.

"Just Plain Crazy"
created by Kathy Knapp

"Ice Princess"
created by Kathy Knapp
(that's right, she created BOTH of those beautiful suits!
Wouldn't you love to peek into HER closet?)

and my personal favorite,
"Amber Waves"
created by Frances Knapp

So how about it,
Which one would YOU wear?
So stay tuned because next time- I'll show you my favorite quilts!

  2. I absolutely LOVE the " Just Plain Crazy" jacket. is there a pattern that I could buy? I have never done crazy quilting because it didn't look like something I would like.... or maybe I was just scared... but for this jacket I would learn.

If there was a pattern used though, there was none mentioned.

  4. I would be thrilled if I had the 'Just Plain Crazy' too - the other two are gorgeous, but I'm totally in love with the black one.
